Ride It Like It's Stolen
writer: Marc Kuchner
My Dad rode with a biker gang
I last saw him when I was nine
He wore a beard and a skull tattoo
He said the road's no place for a kid like you
But as he sized me up a smile crept into his eyes
And before he rolled away, he gave me this advice
Keep a road map in your tank bag
In case you get lost
If you join a gang and you wanna live long
You better wear this cross
Keep the chain tight and clean
And your mind on where you're going
Life is like a bike
Ride it like it's stolen
Well I grew up living Mama's dream
Got a desk job and an S.U.V.
But you can't tame a country boy
Who's born to be a biker king
Cause when the cancer came and left me
I thanked God to be alive
I grabbed on to my second chance and taught myself to drive
Keep a road map in your tank bag
In case you get lost
If you join a gang and you wanna live long
You better wear this cross
Keep the chain tight and clean
And your mind on where you're going
Life is like a bike
Ride it like it's stolen
You can't sit still and wait for your dreams to find you
Kick the clutch, gun it, and never look behind you, yeah
And there's a road map in your tank bag
In case you get lost
If you join a gang and you wanna live long
You better wear this cross
Son I'll teach you to turn
If you keep your mind open
Remember, life is like a bike
Ride it like it's stolen
Ride it like it's stolen
